About Stamford Robotics

Stamford Robotics is a local organization dedicated to bringing science and technology FUN to young people in our area. We do this by running local events and supporting teams of young people. We want to build the science and technology heroes of tomorrow, and have fun doing it!

Our current programs are Junior FIRST Lego League (Jr. FLL) and FIRST Lego League (FLL) in Stamford, Connecticut. Our site features information for new coaches, schools, and other community organizations considering FLL or Jr. FLL programs.

Stamford Robotics was created by Coaches/Mentors and members of former FIRST LEGO League teams in Stamford. Many in the FIRST community will know us as the S.M.A.R.T. Team from Scofield Magnet Middle School. The S.M.A.R.T. team participated in FLL from its beginnings. They also had the distinction of being two time State FLL Champions - representing the state of Connecticut in Atlanta at the FLL World Festival. These teams are no longer active, but their former members, coaches, and mentors are still here to promote the positive impact of this program.
