FIRST did not put out an official lesson plan for this season...

Many teams and especially new coaches are concerned that they won't have the challenge complete in time for the Expo.  A "lesson plan" that gives general guidance as to what your team should be doing and when to be ready for the Expo can help coaches feel good and on track.

To that end, we'll try to publish a simple lesson plan for a recommended 8 week team season shortly - check back soon.

For our experience 8 team meetings (one per week) is a good schedule and provides enough time to complete the challenge.  A team can certainly have more meetings than this of course.  Simply spend more time learning about the topic and enjoying LEGO!  But what about a shorter season?  This works too, but we do recommend at least 6 meetings.  If you are short on time before the expo you can try two meetings per week to get caught up.
