Stamford Robotics once again joined in at the Stone Soup for the 21st Century event.
We presented in the "fairway" demonstrating FIRST LEGO League for 9 to 14 year olds, and Jr. FIRST LEGO League for 6 to 9 year olds. Kids had a chance to run the SMART team state champion robot, and build LEGO models related to this year's theme.
Coach D. and Dawn Winsor from Stamford Robotics also presented one of the many community learning sessions titled "How to build a successful FIRST LEGO League team".
Stamford Robotics were presenters at the recent FIRST University day
Coach "D" (Peter Dowling) presented Advanced NXT-G programming for FLL Coaches with assistance from Rachel Winsor, while Jyotsna "JoJo" and Dawn Winsor presented Starting, funding and running a Jr. FLL team and Body Forward Jr. FLL Game Overview with assistance from Coach "S" (Seema Winsor)
It was great to see a couple of Stamford coaches in attendance. We also enjoyed meeting and presenting to all the motivated FIRST LEGO League and Jr. FIRST LEGO League coaches from around Connecticut.
In the Body Forward season, FIRST LEGO League and Jr. FIRST LEGO League teams will be challenged to learn about the human body and how scientists and engineers are making our lives longer, better, stronger.
The challenges have been released.
